User Reviews
Title: good for restarting
Date Reviewed: 2011-07-29 20:54:23 | Recommended?: Yes
Remarks: I got this card because my cs was in the mid 500's when I applied...CL sucks, but you can't expect $1,000 CL when restarting Interest rate is crazy high....

Title: $20 CLI after 1 year and no lates
Date Reviewed: 2008-10-22 08:57:19 | Recommended?: Yes
Remarks: I just realized that I haven't written a review for my Orchard Bank account yet. Ok, so before I get all negative, I should say that it is a really really good rebuilder card. They don't charge huge fees and they don't take advantage. That being said, they are SOOOOO stingy with their credit limits and CLI's. I've had the card for exactly 1 year now, and I've refused to call for a CLI. I just logged into my account, and my limit is now $320. Are they kidding me? Honestly, I'd prefer no CLI at all, because a measely $20 after a year of perfect payment history, moderate usage with large payments every month (I usually leave a balance under $50 to throw them some sort of bone) is ridiculous. Ok, I'm done ranting...

Title: To Cancel Or Not To Cancel
Date Reviewed: 2008-03-03 20:03:15 | Recommended?: No
Remarks: Ok all, this is the situation... I have had this card since 03. It is my oldest credit card reporting. Anyways, the annual fee is due and I have received so many better cards recently that I honestly have no use for this card. Now I know if I cancel the card my scores will drop... However I have a solution or at least I think I do. When you become a authorized/joint cardholder, the history is reported from account opening. Now I know that there was talk about authorized users not counting towards credit scoring but if I became a joint card holder on one of my wife's accounts from around 03; then by me canceling Orchard it should not make a difference in my scores... It would just be one replacing the other. I have done this with a few of her other accounts and my scores have risen very nicely. And again I am listed as joint, not authorized user. I would appreciate some feedback from you guys as I really don't want Orchard anymore... I have had a perfect history with them for 5 years and only have a $1400 limit and a 22% apr. When I called them and asked to waive my annual fee they cut the AF in half but refused to lower the interest rate. This is by far the worse card I have. Ok well let me know what you all think. Thanks and have a great day!
