User ReviewsTitle: Once again Amex cust serv top notch Date Reviewed: 2008-05-06 21:18:31 | Recommended?: Yes Remarks: I Thank you amex for working with boneheads like me.
Earlier today I opened up a new bank account. A few moments ago, I went online to pay my Amex bill with my old banking info and while I was there I set up my new banking info as an alternative account.
Well, because I'm an idiot I accidently paid with the new account.
The new account has a hold on funds so I'm cussing out loud now. Amex does not have a cancel payment button!!!! I know I goofed but all other banks have a cancel payment button!! Come on Amex!
So I called a very understanding customer service rep that said he would note to cancel any fees I get charged so long as I make another payment.
Now let's hope the bank is as understanding!
I can't believe I did that, but come on amex travelocity, bank of america, and capital one all have options to cancel payments if you catch mistakes or want to change payment amounts.
I still luv you guys for your great cs reps though!
Title: Email Offer & fast approval Date Reviewed: 2008-04-08 22:46:47 | Recommended?: Yes Remarks: I got an email offer from Amex for this card, since I fly Jet Blue a fair amount I figured why not, applied online and got the usual fraud alert message to call new accounts. After verifying the usual information I was approved

Title: How are they at converting Date Reviewed: 2008-04-08 04:45:22 | Recommended?: Yes Remarks: Okay I read a previous member\'s very informative post about the easiest amex\'s to get. He was right... I got all three. What I really want to do, however, is 1. graduate my green to a gold and use it for monthly expenses and utilities and accumulate the broad range of membership rewards 2. keep one of the airline cards (most likely keep delta cuz I hear points on the jet blue expire at the end of the year) 3. Convert the alternate airline card into a low apr card like blue to keep in the sock drawer for major purchases that I can\'t pay off quickly . Is this possible?
