Title: time to say goodbye!
Date Reviewed: 2008-04-20 06:13:27 | Recommended?: No
Remarks: How can we allow companies to do this to consumers\"
Having had my card for 3 years at 7.99% APR, imagine my surprise to receive a notice from Chase that they are increasing my rate to 23.99%. I called Chase to be told that it followed a review of my credit report with Experian. I immediately went onto Experian and got my credit report and score, and there was nothing on my report and my score was 720. So I called Chase back to let them know this, and was told \"great, good job, well done - now all you have to do is write a letter to Chase and plead your case, and fax it to this number.\" Wow, did not see that coming - Of course I am not going to plead anything with them. Never late, never carried more than 50% of available credit as a balance - so goodbye Chase. I don\'t expect for one moment that they care either.

Title: to apply or not apply?

Remarks: Hey guys just a question? My fico is at 631. I got a pre-approval letter in the mail two times. I\'m contemplating applying. I don\'t want to apply and not get approved. Sometimes they send you a pre-approval letter but don\'t approve you anyways. Someone have previous experience with this issue?

Title: Bad customer service
Date Reviewed: 2007-04-23 12:45:39 | Recommended?: Yes
Remarks: When calling the customer service number to make a change of address and get the last few transactions, the customer service rep. refused to give me his name or any information that would Identify who he was. "We don't give out our last names." "I'm pretty much the only Lamont here" .Anyway, When i told him I had called earlier in the month to change my address and was curious as to why it wasn't done yet, his response was "well it takes ti----ime!" (said with sarcasm) At this point I was getting frustrated and asked well how long does it take? Its already been over a month. He continued to talk over me telling me that I said earlier today. And argued this point. Every time I tried to say something he would keep talking over me as though it was on purpose. Finally I had enough of dealing with him and wanted to speak with someone more on my level of thinking so I requested to be transfered to a supervisor. I was Immediately hung up on. I really felt like I was dealing with some teenage thug. What makes me nervous is the fact that they have all my personal information at their disposal and as a result of this young mans attitude I don't feel safe giving it to them. They will not transfer you to a supervisor or answer ANY questions. Not even questions about their own policies until they have your SSN, DOB, Name and zip code. When I called back to make a complaint, I had to reluctantly divulge this information before I was able to speak to a supervisor. Again, even the supervisor would not give me a last name or employee id# so as far as I knew, I could have been speaking to one of the other persons friends. There is no way I am doing business with a company who refuses to so much as identify themselves on a phone call.

Title: How DARE CARTER FRANKE

Remarks: Chase reopened my closed credit card account WITHOUT MY PERMISSION and sent me a new credit card that I didn't request.

Title: horrible customer service
Date Reviewed: 2007-03-12 15:34:08 | Recommended?: No
Remarks: I got a letter in the mail with "carter Franke's" name on it, and I hold him responsible for the the several headaches I have had over the past two weeks. I signed up for a balance transfer, and the customer service wrote down the wrong account number. Well, the check was sent, but of course it had the wrong account number. All customer service had to do was fax over the check that they sent. SIMPLE. I had to wait for two weeks while they wrote up an investigation report, and then they were going to mail me what the resolution was. Well, while they had to figure out what happened. I had to pay over $300 interest because of their screw up.Customer service was so rude, the supervisors were rude... horrible expereince, and I will never use them again. This Carter Franke person should know what is going on, and worry about keeping his customers happy. lIke the person said before, I'm sure he really cares!
