Title: Chased

Remarks: Applied for card online and received the Congratulations Your Approved Screen. You will receive your card in 7-10 days. That was two weeks ago, so I called to inquire on when I would be receiving the card and now they are saying I was denied. What's with that? My scores are mid to upper 700's across all three credit bureaus.

Title: Denied

Remarks: I applied this card first time around last June, that time I don't have banking relationship with Chase. I opened a saving and a checking account in Oct. After a few days they send me a letter which ask me to apply for this card. On the credit card application online you will see that to apply for this card you have to satisfy 3 questions:
1. Credit history is clear of bankruptcy
2. Credit history is clear of seriously delinquent accounts
3. Have NOT been denied credit by Chase within the last 6 months
I knew that so I email the customer service and ask them if I am really qualified to apply for this card but they did not reply. On this other hand, in the mail it said that that is a offer exclusively for customers with bank account. After all, I applied and was denied immediately. I email them afterward but they did not really answer my questions.
Even got rejected but I still like this card though.
Anyway, today I got the true earning AMEX card with more than 14 hard inquiries and I don't really need the Chase Freedom now. I thought Chase is supposed to be less stringent than AMEX right~?
I totally have no idea of my credit score when the first time I got rejected. The second time was probably around 680~699.

Title: Instant Approval

Remarks: Was approved to my surprise, I don't have many things in my name. After approval I actually checked my scores and they were 717 experian, 717 exquifax and 726 transunion. Im really surprised my scores are that high my oldest credit card was opened in 2008. Fiance tells me being in Civil Service ups my score, not sure. Waiting on card in mail, don't know the CL yet.

Title: I Can't Believe I Was Approved!
Date Reviewed: 2010-01-10 01:19:26 | Recommended?: Yes
Remarks: Okay, this will be my 5th and final credit card application for next 12 months. I have been applying for credit cards and store cards like crazy for the past few days (not weeks, DAYS).
Received in the mail yesterday the Chase Freedom credit card with Exclusive Benefits and Welcome packet. This is a rewards card that earns 1 point per $1 on all purchases, 10% extra bonus points per $1 spent, plus 10 bonus points on every purchase (because I have a Chase Checking account too). No rewards expiration & $0 annual fee. 0% APR until January 2011, 23% thereafter.
I was doing an ATM transaction 2 weeks ago when this popped up:
"Congratulations! You are Pre-Approved for a Chase Freedom credit card with Exclusive Benefits!" So since I was in a hurry and on this "instant approval streak" and I got curious because the card looked different (it was blackish grey and has the word "exclusives" on the card), I tapped "yes" a couple of times to read more about the offer, and accidentally agreed to apply for the card! I did not see any response (approved or denied) at the ATM, other than: "Thank you for choosing Chase and for submitting your ATM request today for your pre-approved chase freedom credit card."
I panicked because I've been applying for cards non-stop for 4-5 straight days.
Anyway, I logged in to the forums here immediately that same day and asked for the advice of the "credit gurus". Smcc suggested to call Customer Service to find out the application status. I searched for their backdoor number here in the forums, called it and heard an automated voice response: "You have been approved. Your APR will be 0.0% until May 2010. Your credit line is $1700.00."
I was so surprised! But also thankful that I was approved. And so happy with the limit they gave me. It's the highest initial limit I ever received. I hope they would give increases in time...
Credit score accdg to Credit Karma at the time of application: TU 702. Always paid in full each month and never late car loan payments.
They also tried to offer a kind of payment protection plan, but I politely declined. CSR was not "pushy" and respected their client's decision.

Title: Approved but wow
Date Reviewed: 2009-10-17 23:18:12 | Recommended?: Yes
Remarks: So I have had a Chase Babies R' Us Card since April 2008 ($200 since, and they won't raise my limit... I've never been late...), and I've had a WAMU Card that was apparently bought out by Chase a few months ago, and I only had that card (with a $1000 limit) from November '08 to July '09 because they closed it suddenly without warning, OR any late payments towards them...
Anyways, so I applied for many many credit cards (15 actually, and was approved for I believe 13 of them, but they were mostly store cards like Walmart, Target, etc...) in the beginning of April this year (2009; a little over six months ago) (so many inquiries are on my report until 2011!!!) and Chase would've been one of the creditors to deny me (I believe Citi was the other one to deny me back then...)
So I applied tonight because I seen so many positive reviews on this website, and plus the high chance of approval, so I gave it a try, and I was approved instantly online! I am yet to find out my credit limit, but I was approved!
My current FICO score for Experian is 728 (10/09), while my Equifax score is 660 (10/09.) I am unsure of Transunion but I do not feel like many creditors pull Transunion from my experience/credit reports... My only deliquency is a cable bill from 2005 which was for $125, and the reason for late payment was because I moved and my landlord did not tell me that any of my old mail was still being sent there... I've never disputed it though.
Anyways, so I suggest applying for this card; it seems to have a high approval rating, no annual fee, and I do have a deliquency on my credit report, AND many many hard inquiries (though it HAS been six months... I know they take two yrs to disappear, but ya...) So I do recommend trying for this card, and if Chase does deny you for whatever reason, try again in six months and you will likely be considered with some additional good history!
