User ReviewsTitle: Upgraded from BOA Plat Plus Visa Date Reviewed: 2008-07-28 20:48:40 | Recommended?: Yes Remarks: I've had the BOA Platinum Plus Visa since 12/07, started with a $2500 CL. I called BOA for another issue and was told that I was eligible for an upgrade to the WorldPoints Plat Plus Visa. They also increased my CL to $3500. I think BOA considers your relationship with them when making these approvals. I've been with BOA for alot of years; checking, money market etc. They've always treated me very well and I would never bank with anyone else. BTW, my scores are TU 664, EX 672, EQ 666.
Title: Upgrade Card. Date Reviewed: 2008-06-30 00:14:43 | Recommended?: Yes Remarks: This is the upgrade card that I received from BofA. I previously had their Platinum Plus CC, and prior to that I had their secured Platinum Plus CC for 9 months.
Secured CC: CL $500, %21.5
Unsecured CC: CL $1000, %19.5
Current upgraded CC: CL $1000, %17.99
Title: advantages and disadvantages Date Reviewed: 2008-05-25 04:20:31 | Recommended?: Yes Remarks: this card was the second credit card i got since i moved to the states last year.
let me start the advantages first,
1- more acceptable than my amex card in the states and overseas.
2- they automatically increase your limit without running your credit.
3- you manage your account online.
disadvantages:
1- it's not hard to get as some one was saying here .anyone can get it easily with credit limit varies due credit score.
2- very terrible customer service, helpless.
3- very poor rewards values. plus when you redeem this rewards with gift cards, they send it to your address without putting your name on it , so if anyone get the letter , he can use it easily.
4- yes they increase your limit every while, but once you loose your card or you have any suspecious activity on your card, they will not help you , u r loosing your money 100%
Title: So far so good Date Reviewed: 2007-11-21 05:33:53 | Recommended?: Yes Remarks: Just got approved for boa world points card w/ a cl of 3k..scores range from 698-714..Only problem is that rewards seem a little cheap, other than that no complaints.
Title: Rate issue Date Reviewed: 2007-08-26 19:06:45 | Recommended?: No Remarks: Terms and conditions state that Platinum Plus Credit Card will be with 9.9% APR and Preferred account with 15.99%. I was approved for Platinum Plus with 9.9%, and received one, but only instead 9.9% I received 15.99%. And now nobody can give me an answer - why in their Terms Platinum Plus has 9.9%. I actually had one answer that they don't know anything about this lower as 9.9% APR. Here I am - I have to cancel the Credit Card, because I think if they can't keep their word and change conditions anytime when they want - it's a very bad business.
Only one what I can say - their Customer Service is very friendly, polite and nice to talk to.
